"Painting is a true joy in my life, it's rewarding in its frustrations. I believe the true joy of painting comes from the act of painting not the subject. Creating colors and touching them to the canvas, and moving the paint around on the canvas is what drives me as a painter. I enjoy looking for shapes and colors in my subjects and I have found that looking at the world in this way has changed my view of the world.
