TOTAL Solar Eclipse Reverse Dyed T-Shirts with Londen Tabor - April 5th, 2024, 5:30-6:30pm
In honor of the next Total Solar Eclipse, Londen going to teach everyone how to create their very own Eclipse t-shirt using a stencil, bleach mixture and a paintbrush. It's going to be a quick and easy beginner class that everyone will enjoy.
Attendees must provide their t-shirt size upon registering for the workshop; all t-shirts and dye materials will be included in the signup fee.
Painting the Portrait and Landscape in Watercolor by Stan Miller - July 16th, 2024, 10am-4pm
Stan will demonstrate both the portrait and the landscape. He will have handouts, have us trace the handout on to our wc paper and guide us through our subject. When not demonstrating he will visit each student to see how they are doing. Questions about color, technique, composition, choosing a good subject will be discussed. All questions are welcome. Students can work on their own project if they choose.
2024 Summer Art Camps
AVA's Summer Art Camps provide three sessions during Summer 2024 for Campbell County youth to learn from qualified community instructors about the broad application of clay and a variety of processes an artist can utilize to create quality, functional ceramic artworks. Students will also have the opportunity to learn many styles of mixed media. The camps will introduce a variety of tools, art projects, and materials to create a finished product.
(No classes on SAT, SUN & MON)
Session 1 (Mixed Media): Ages 6-9 - June 11-21, 1:00-3:00pm
Session 2 (Mixed Media & Clay): Ages 6-9 - July 9-19, 1:00-3:00pm
Session 3 (Clay Camp): Ages 10-14 - July 23 - August 2, 1:00-3:00pm
