*UPDATE: This exhibition has been rescheduled for November 2021.
Cartoon is defined as a humorous or satirical drawing. For AVA's November show, artworks are considered that include depictions of both the silly and serious, simple or complex. Have you drawn a caricature of your uncle or your cat? Do you doodle on napkins and paper scraps? Cartoons are identified by style and substance, exaggeration and commentary.
All work must be original. Artworks may be submitted that are not in traditional frames, such as on unmounted scraps of paper or unconventional materials; however, framed work is also acceptable.
Maximum dimensions of 48" in any direction. Any two dimension (2D) or three dimension (3D) cartoons in any medium created since Jan 2017 are eligible for submission.
Inventory Sheets and W-9s can be provided by AVA via email or in-person upon request and must be completed at time of delivery.
