Functional Art
November 2023

What do these things have in common?
A Tiffany lamp.
A ceramic pitcher that when used surprises us with a humorous sound glug-glug-glug.
A large textured multi colored basket that holds the family’s hats and gloves.
A quilt created using Dad’s denim pants and shirts. The dogs are partial to it.
Hand made mosaic paving stones that meander in the garden.
An exquisitely curved hand rail.
A knitted sweater that is every so warm on the coldest days
of winter.

Many functional pieces are also strong works of art. For this show we encourage you to share your functional art with our community. We can’t wait to see what you have created that combines form and function.

Artworks should not exceed 60” on any direction; artworks must be dropped off at AVA with a  hanging system installed and ready for display. Contact AVA stuff if your artwork exceed guidelines.
Inventory Sheets and W-9s can be provided by AVA via email or in-person upon request and must be completed at time of delivery.
