Call for art
Submission Deadline: October 10th
Response Date: October 17th
Work Arrival: November 1st @ AVA
Reception Date: November 7th , 2019
Calling all makers- December's Handcrafted show will feature artistically made work intended for everyday use, including pottery, dinnerware, clothing, jewelry, accessories, furniture, and home accessories.
Work produced using power tools, sewing machines, and other craft equipment are welcome but since this is a handcrafted show, work made primarily using 3-D printers or other production machinery will not be shown, however work incorporating elements made this way, such as custom 3-D printed buttons on a hand-sewn jacket, will be considered.
All work must be your own original design- no trademarked images or reproductions will be accepted.
All submissions must be made using your own hands, and the tools of your craft.
For example, mugs you created yourself in a ceramic studio would be accepted but not decorated store-bought mugs, and furniture must be either hand-built or substantially altered in an artistic way, rather than simply found and painted a different color.
We've chosen December for this show in order to give the hand-makers of our community a chance to display their work during our peek shopping season, and to offer some handmade variety to our local shoppers, just in time for the holidays.
Artist may submit up to 3 submission pieces
Artist can submit online at www.avacenter.org – Submission deadline October 10th
