Give your child a summer filled with creativity, hands-on learning, and artistic exploration at AVA Community Art Center! Our three dynamic summer sessions provide young artists ages 5-15 with an immersive experience in painting, drawing, mixed media, and ceramics—all led by professional instructors in a real studio environment.


Each session is designed to help kids build confidence, develop new skills, and create their own masterpieces. Whether they sign up for one, two, or all three sessions, they’ll walk away with new techniques, exciting projects, and a deeper love for art!

Session 1: Mixed Media Camp (June 10 – June 20)

Ages 5-10 | Experiment with a variety of materials!

  • From painting and drawing to experimenting with mixed media, this session is perfect for kids who love to create in all forms.


Session 2: Mixed Media & Clay (July 8 – July 18)

Ages 5-10 | 🏺 Hands-on introduction to clay & mixed media

  • Week 1: Clay basics—hand-building, glaze application, kiln safety
  • Week 2: More creative fun!—painting, collage, fiber art, and more


Session 3: Clay Camp (July 29 – August 8)

Ages 10-15 | 🏺 Wheel throwing & advanced clay techniques

Learn the art of ceramics, including wheel-throwing, hand-building, and glaze application, while gaining exclusive access to professional studio equipment—a unique opportunity typically reserved for high school or college students!


Registration & Details


  • Schedule: Tuesdays - Fridays, 1:00-3:00 PM
  • Location: AVA Community Art Center
  • Fees: $70 AVA Members / $80 Non-Members
