2026 Summer Art Camps
Give your child a summer filled with creativity, hands-on learning, and artistic exploration at AVA Community Art Center! AVA's summer camp sessions provide young artists ages 5-18 with an immersive experience in painting, drawing, mixed media, ceramics, and large scale construction —all led by professional instructors in a real studio environment.
Each session is designed to help kids build confidence, develop new skills, and create their own masterpieces. No matter which sessions your young artists attend, they’ll walk away with new techniques, exciting projects, and a deeper love for art!

Session 1: Mixed Media (20 student Maximum)
June 2nd - June 12th (8 total days)
Tuesday-Friday
2pm - 4pm
Ages 5 - 10
In this session, students will experience the value of curiosity, play, and effort while exploring how creativity and problem solving brings things from 2-D into 3-D form, the fundamentals of painting, and science's influence on art.
Session 2: Fort Battles - Morning OR Afternoon (20 student Maximum per time slot)
July 7th - 17th (8 total days)
Tuesday - Friday
10am - 12pm OR 2pm - 4pm
Ages 5 - 15
In this session, students will focus on creative team work. Students in either a morning or afternoon workshop will battle to create a hand constructed team fort over the course of two weeks. This session is meant to teach large scale building and possibility, with an emphasis on how to work with an entire team to create a functional and creative space.
Students should only register for one of the two time slots in Session 2.
Session 3: Clay Camp (12 student Maximum)
August 4th - 14th (8 total days)
Tuesday-Friday
2pm - 4pm
Ages 13 - 18
In this session, the emphasis is on clay technique. Students will learn clay lab safety and etiquette while exercising their talents on the wheel and traditional hand building techniques.
