I found Johnny in Skid Row with her morning cup of coffee. She was sleeping on the street but working hard to secure housing for herself.
“I never would have guessed you’re sleeping rough,” I stated. “You look great. You’re so clean.”
“OH! THANK YOU!” she exclaimed. “Do you really think so?”
“Yes, you look amazing.”
Johnny smiled in what I read as sexual, and her eyes seemed to turn hungry, and together we laughed hard and long.
