INGLEWOOD 13 COP KILLERS
Los Angeles, Skid Row, I found Steven eating with his back against a building, partially protected from the rain.
He shared, “I used to run with the Inglewood 13. Home for me was the streets.”
The Inglewood 13 is a primarily Mexican American street gang from Inglewood, California. They are the oldest in that area, originating in the 1970s, and the largest with nearly 400 members. They have earned an extremely violent reputation, and are known to have a deep hatred for cops, and a history of killing them.
As a young teen, Steven was trying to survive, and the Inglewood 13 became his family. He did time in juvie, and later as an adult.
Steven is over it. “I’m out. These punk b****** running around gang banging today, they have no idea what they’re doing, and what’s really going on.”
