In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the core techniques of handbuilding—like slip attachment, slab work, coiling, and pinching—and how to use them to create both functional and sculptural forms. We’ll also explore how simple tools (and your fingers) can shape texture, form, and structure in clay.
Whether you're looking to make your first mug or dive into something more sculptural, this class is all about building skills and confidence. You'll leave with a solid tool box of understanding on how to start creating the visions in your head or sketchbook.
This is also an ideal intro for anyone interested in using our Clay Lab independently. If you're considering a studio membership or curious about creating on your own during open hours, this workshop gives you the foundation to do just that.
