Color Theory with Artist Chris Amend Saturday July 20th 10 AM- 1 PM
Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to learn about color theory from Professional Artist Chris Amend!
In this workshop will discuss the basics of color theory, and how an understanding of the basic properties of color will allow the artist to produce an almost infinite range of colors and values using a simple palette of red, yellow, blue, white and black.
Using acrylic paints, we will explore the concepts of hue, value, and intensity; warm and cool colors; complementary colors; and how to analyze the components of a desired color in order to mix it with the colors available on your palette.
"I was an art teacher for 36 years, and have since retired from full-time teaching in order to focus entirely on my own work, though I still find myself teaching an occasional class. I continue to find art and teaching to be inextricably intertwined, each demanding of me the same daily questing, and questioning, about the nature of existence and its manifestation as visual expression." - Chris Amend
