My approach to art is possibly very different to most people. as an ex jewelry designer, I try to best showcase the
precious jewel that I see within the design of any item. I look at a vintage or contemporary car and see the flow
of lines just as I would a piece of jewelry that gracefully adorns a neck, finger or ear. The detail of stitching on
leather or the attachment of a spur strap on a boot is also jewelry to my eye, I can't help but try to bring that out.
Even my flower and still life paintings are not just paintings of the objects one would think they are. To me, the
jewel of the scene is the way light reflects and refracts on the surface of the object, and the way light moves
through glass and is reflected in liquid. It is my desire to show people what I see and hope they can see it too.
