AVA COMMUNITY ART CENTER COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN
Last updated June 15, 2020
To protect its employees, customers and allied professionals, The AVA Community Art Center has put the following recommended strategies for industry workplaces into effect (as outlined by the CDC and the Campbell County Health Department):
- No more than 25 people in the building, including employees, at one time.
- Program attendees and customers are asked not to participate in classes or enter the facilities if they have been sick or recently exposed to anyone who is sick.
- Employees are recommended to wear masks when people are in the building.
-It is recommended that the participants in classes wear masks (not provided), are seated 6 feet apart and have soap and hand sanitizer available for their use.
- Sign in sheets will be maintained for all classes and other gatherings as a tool to contact individuals IF we have someone participate in a class or visit AVA that is discovered with the virus. This information would be made available to public health officials if needed.
- Sick employees are required to stay home if experiencing symptoms of acute respiratory illness. Employees may not return to work until they are free of fever (100.4° F [38.0° C] or greater using an oral thermometer),signs of fever, and any other symptoms for at least 72 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom- altering medicines(e.g.cough suppressants).
- Emphasize respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees: employees are instructed to clean their hands often with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60-95% alcohol (or an approved non-alcohol sanitizer) or wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty.
- Perform routine environmental cleaning: Routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, and doorknobs. Use the cleaning agents that are usually used in these areas and follow the directions on the label. All items used in classes and projects will be disinfected after each use.
- Employees are required to check themselves for symptoms of acute respiratory illness before starting travel and notify their supervisor and stay home if they are sick.
