A Celebration of Color  

We are a group of textile artists who all live in Wyoming and are members of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA).  We have been meeting monthly via Zoom for about two years. We have gradually gotten to know each other. The meetings are a time to share techniques as well as providing inspiration and support for one another. This is our first joint show.  

Are you wondering what an art quilt is? An art quilt “is a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure."  

For this exhibit we decided it would be fun for each of us to create a piece that was the same format and theme. 
The 30" X 30" pieces that are displayed together express the theme of A Celebration of Color. The other art quilts in the show vary in size and subject. As with all other art mediums, we each have our own unique ways of expressing ourselves.
