Students will receive a handout on the history and process of making floorcloths. Each student will receive a blank canvas to draw and paint on. Please bring ideas of what you would like to paint on a 4'1" x 1'1" with you.
If you do not draw the instructor will provide stencils that can be used, or bring your own. Keep your design simple if you wish to complete your floorcloth in one day. Recommended read is The Complete Book of Floorcloths by Kathy Cooper & Jan Hersey. There will be a show break for lunch.
