Carol Forster is a pencil artist, working with graphite and colored pencils. She is a college graduate with an art degree but considers her pencil drawing style to be self taught. As a child, she enjoyed and was inspired by the pencil art of illustrators like C.W. Anderson and Sam Savitt. Inspired by the life around her, she draws family and friends, pets, plants from her garden, and images she brought home from the trips she has taken around the United States.
She works from life or her own photographs. She has been showing her art around the United States and enjoys giving talks about pencil drawing.
